Mrs. Lawrence is excited to return to Equitas another year as a Special Education Program Specialist. She believes that all scholars can and will graduate from college and looks forward to providing them with the tools they need to be confident, lifelong learners. She grew up in New Jersey, about 20 minutes from NYC. She earned her BA in Sociology and MA in Special Education from New Jersey City University in Jersey City, NJ. For the first 11 years of her career, Mrs. Lawrence was a special education teacher in Bayonne, NJ and Jersey City, NJ. She has taught grades 3-12, but middle school is her favorite. She moved to Los Angeles in July 2017, and has enjoyed getting to know her new city.
