College Application / Personal Statement

Description: Learn key tips for a stellar college application essay in this one-hour session. Most colleges require you to submit an essay or personal statement as part of your college application.

Equitas Alumni College Visit to UC-Irvine

Date: Saturday, October 19, 2019 
Location: EQ2 & UC-Irvine 
Description: Join fellow Equitas alumni as we go visit the University of California, Irvine (UCI) and participate in their Fall Preview Day. You will have the opportunity to engage with UCI staff and students, tour campus, learn more about their academic programs and students services, and get answers to your questions about the admissions process. Transportation and lunch will be provided.

Description: Princeton Review staff will discuss college admission requirements and application timelines. Learn the differences between community, four-year colleges and universities (private, CSUs, UCs and out of state options). What is Early Admission/Early Decision? Why do they care about your high school GPA and test scores? Seminar ends with time for questions and answers.

Date: Saturday, November 2, 2019 · 11 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Description: College is an investment, especially financially, so the cost of college is a typical concern for students and their families. The Princeton Review will provide information on how to make paying for college affordable. Participants will learn about different forms of financial aid, applying for scholarships and how to make smart financial decisions. (This session will be conducted in both English/Spanish)

ACT Practice Test & ACT 101 Strategies

Dates: Saturday, November 9, 2019 · 11 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.  &  Saturday, November 23, 2019 · 11 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Location: Central Library - Teen’Scape Meeting Room B
Description: In this two session series, students will take a practice test and return to attend two 2 ½ hour strategy review sessions to provide students with a better understanding of how to improve their scores. Students will also be provided with access to an online portal to review their score reports and given detailed feedback and recommendations.

Our Future Fest
