Teacher
I became an educator because I truly believe in the abilities of all my students. I want to empower students to pursue their dreams and advocate for their future and their communities. Our students deserve to feel valued, respected, and supported in their pursuit of their lifelong goals. They are deserving of a high quality education and as teacher it is a responsibility that I hold with great care and commitment.
Prior to Equitas, I graduated from Whitman College with a B.A in Astronomy and a minor in Physics. In 2023, I worked as the ELD assistant at Collegiate Charter High School. I am a 2024 Teach for America Corps Member for Secondary Science. I have taught physics while continuing to pursue my Master's degree in Transformative Education at Loyola Marymount University.
I chose Equitas because I strongly believe in Equitas' core mission and values. I believe all students should have the resources to become leaders in their community, personal lives, and in advocacy.
Outside of school, I enjoy spending quality time with family and friends. I love live music and going to concerts. I also just like to relax with my current favorite show or book.
