Substitute Teacher

I became an educator because… I have a passion for helping children become the best versions of themselves. I love being a part of their learning journey and experiencing those "Aha, I get it" moments with them.

Prior to Equitas, I… Graduated from CSUDH with a Bachelor's degree in Liberal Studies. I then started working in the education field as a teacher's assistant and later as a substitute teacher. I have worked at the Elementary level and Middle School level.

I chose Equitas because…the community reminds me of home. I grew up about 10 minutes away in Mid City. I love working for Equitas and giving back to my community and our children.

Outside of school, I enjoy… Hanging out with my family and friends. I also love being outdoors and experiencing nature through hikes, parks, and beaches. If I am home I like to watch movies or the cooking channel.
