Jinoye Henry

Teacher

I became an educator because… I want to be what I once needed but did not have. My purpose is to mold minds and create a safe space where scholars can learn, grow, and be their authentic selves. I believe every scholar deserves an opportunity, and every step they take matters. My role is to guide them in recognizing the value of their unique fingerprint—their individuality, impact, and potential in the world.

Prior to Equitas, I… studied at The Mico University College, where I pursued Secondary Education with a concentration in Social Studies. I later attended California Baptist University, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Digital Media as well as a Master’s degree in Strategic Communication. I taught in New York for four years before returning to California to continue my journey in education.

I chose Equitas because… of its vibrant culture—one that exudes joy, fosters belonging, and creates a space where learning is meaningful and applicable for the scholars of today and those yet to come.

Outside of school, I enjoy… writing, enjoy music, appreciate time at the beach, and explore new dining experiences.
