I became an educator because...I believe that a high quality education is a civil rights issue. All students deserve high quality instruction, support in a place where they can be joyful, creative, celebrated, inspired, and empowered to create a more compassionate and just world.

Prior to Equitas, I...taught first and second grade at a Charter School in West Adams. My passion for teaching was ignited I taught English as a second language in Hanoi Vietnam. Prior to that I worked at Levi Strauss and Co. and in technology in San Francisco.

I chose Equitas because...we have the perfect combination of incredible educators, inspiring leaders, supportive families in place to ensure that every scholar meets their goals.

Outside of school, I enjoy...traveling, finding delicious places to eat all over the city, exercising, practicing mindfulness, cooking and spending time with friends and family preferably near a body of water.
