I became an educator because...I believe that a strong, supportive education has the power to transform lives and strengthen communities. All kids deserve passionate and encouraging educators.

Prior to Equitas, I...I earned both my Bachelor of Science and Master of Education degrees from Avila University in Kansas City, MO. I began my career teaching 2nd and 3rd grade at Crossroads Academy Charter School – Quality Hill campus before moving to Las Vegas, where I taught in the Clark County School District. Alongside my classroom experience, I also collaborated with the learning platform Boddle to design 4th grade ELA content aligned to state standards.

I chose Equitas because...Equitas is deeply rooted in the community and driven by bold, ambitious goals. I am continually inspired by my colleagues who are deeply committed to our mission, work tirelessly to support students, and bring joy and collaboration into everything they do.

Outside of school, I enjoy...hiking, roller skating, trying new restaurants and museums, and spending time with my two kids, Lailani and Reign.
