I became an educator because… I became a teacher because my favorite teachers inspired me to love school. Their impact showed me that when students feel joy in learning, they can unlock their full potential. I believe cultivating a genuine love of learning is a powerful foundation for lifelong success. My goal is for every student to have access to a high-quality education, to experience the joy of discovery, and to leave school prepared to pursue success in whatever path they choose.

Prior to Equitas, I…Prior to joining Equitas, I completed the Liberal Studies Integrated Teacher Education Program at San Francisco State University, where I earned both my undergraduate degree and teaching credential simultaneously. I then lived in the Bay Area and taught kindergarten in Oakland for four years, building a strong foundation in early childhood education and a deep commitment to supporting young learners.Angeles.

I chose Equitas because… from the very beginning, I felt truly welcomed and supported. Equitas is an organization deeply rooted in community and growth, committed to providing an excellent education for students and families in traditionally underserved communities. I was drawn to its mission and values, and to the opportunity to be part of a team that uplifts and empowers students every day.

Outside of school, I enjoy… spending time with my family, relaxing on beach days with friends, staying organized, and watching movies. Most of all, I love being a mom. My toddler keeps me busy and brings so much joy to my everyday life.
