Mariella Magaña is a proud daughter of immigrants, wife, mother, sister and lifelong educator. She has over a decade of experience in public education where she has served as a founding teacher, grade level lead, dean, and most recently Assistant School Leader. Mariella holds a BA in History from UCLA and a Masters in Education from Loyola Marymount University. She has had the privilege of serving students and families in East Los Angeles, South Los Angeles, and South East Los Angeles. She is excited to build relationships with students, families, and staff at Equitas Academy and the Pico Union community in her role as the Director of ELD.
