Ms. Jordan has been a teacher for 8 years, and is so excited to continue to support students as the ELD Curriculum Specialist. She is entering her ninth year in education at Equitas this year! Ms. Jordan is excited to see our scholars learn, grow and create a new world over the course of this school year!  She delights in seeing her scholars rise to the many challenges she gives them. She graduated from the College of Education at Michigan State University in 2013. Soon after graduation, she began teaching Detroit, Michigan. While in Detroit, she learned so much from the families and staff at Cesar Chavez Academy, and about different cultures and carried those lessons to Los Angeles. These experiences helped develop her passion for teaching and desire to become an educator that meets the needs of every child.  Every year she encourages parents to reach out for support, as she is practicing her Spanish daily.  When Ms. Jordan is not at school, she enjoys hiking, reading and finding new places to eat in Los Angeles!
