Jose Gonzalez Bio
Mr. Gonzalez is really excited to be working at Equitas, because he has a strong belief that education is really important in a child’s life. His mission is to help and enrich these young scholars onto the path of education and plant the seed of how much of an importance education is in their lives. One of his greatest achievements was taking a group of 10 young kids from a Recreational Park and coaching them on how to play basketball. He ended up winning the South Pacific Championship, but it was a lot of hard work and training that went into that team. Mr. Gonzalez grew up in South Los Angeles but went to middle school and high school in East LA. Right now, he's attending East LA College and wants to transfer to Cal State Dominguez Hills to pursue his career in education. He wants to become a teacher. His hobbies include reading books, playing basketball and going out and discovering new places. He hopes that with the skills he learns here at Equitas he will provide one day to his future scholars and will teach them the importance of education.
