Veronica believes all children should have meaningful learning opportunities where they can practice and master 21st century skills that will prepare them for college and career. She joins the Equitas Network team with 17 years of experience working in the expanded learning field. She found her passion in serving children and families with wrap around support as a tutor supporting children of migrant working families in San Juan Capistrano. She moved on to work under Boys and Girls Clubs in Orange County. She began as Teen Center Director at Boys & Girls Club of San Juan Capistrano and moved to Westminster Boys and Girls Club to over-see the Education Center and Kindergarten Program. Prior to joining Equitas Academy Veronica ran an Expanded Learning Program at Abrazar, Inc. in Westminster as the ASES PRIDE Program Director. Throughout her time with Abrazar, Inc. Veronica sat as a STEM Technical Support team member under the OC STEM Initiative group at Orange County Department of Education and was responsible to co-facilitate professional development STEM trainings for expanded learning professionals.She continues her journey in making the change with the Equitas Academy family.
