Cecilia Melgares from Network 

Cecelia has been an exemplar for every one of the core values as she has worked to provide the basic needs of our scholars, their families, and team Equitas. She has been the ultimate team player, professional and has been extremely gritty. She goes about the work with joy and expresses gratitude to everyone on the team.

Katy Larson from EQ 

Katy has shown TEAMWORK and has been so supportive all year long with each grade level this year, especially third grade. She has been such a valuable part of the team during remote learning by taking on a teaching and planning load, as well as small groups and reaching out to parents. As an apprentice teacher, Katy embodies what TEAMWORK looks like and is such a valuable member of the EQ team! Katy, you are the best!

Katherine Brumley from EQ2 

Katherine has become a downright PIONEER in using various technology, lesson planning strategies, and social media to engage scholars through Phase II... and more importantly, she is sharing EVERYTHING with all of her teams AND reaching out to others to create a space of reflection, learning, and collaboration. She has been such a leader on every team she's on during this time, and it's been exciting to watch her shine!

Mayra Cornejo from EQ3 

Mayra has done an amazing job as Grade Level Lead during this transition. She works hard to make sure everyone on our team's voice is heard and that we are all in communication with each other. Through her work and support she unites the K/1 team to operate as one.

Kim Aguilar from EQ4

I am nominating Kim because she has stepped up as a leader and gone above and beyond to support our team during distance learning. She has created several how-to videos, which have trained all of us to up our PearDeck game. Not only that, but Kim is regularly active on ClassDojo. She has posted a challenge for the school, which brought some joy, and she also comments on other team members' posts to build connection and community. Kim is a great teammate, and we are so lucky to have her!

Marielle Michel from EQ5

I am nominating Ms. Michel because she is always willing to help out her teammates and she has participated in our morning meetings with a lot of insight and positivity. She was willing to step in during ELPAC testing to do PE and enrichment with not only a smile on her face, but also a great attitude.
